superboy. ©K.Kesel, T.Grummett. name. conner kent (kon-el) alias. superboy age. 18 weight. 209lbs(95kg) height. 6'0'(1.85cm) race. half kryptonian, half human. superpowers. kryptonian powers, tactile telekinesis. history. superboy is a clone grafted with superman's DNA (as opposed to a younger version of superman), who was introduced in 1993. he was created by project cadmus to replace superman following the death of superman story, and was artificially aged to mid-teens and implanted with the necessary knowledge of someone his biological age (in regards to general studies, such as math, reading, etc). before the experiment could be completed (i.e. aging him to full adulthood and implanting him with safeguards to control him) he was freed by the newsboy legion and escaped. one of the boys gave him a leather jacket before he set out into the city (having his first brush with being superman when he encounters sidearm attempting to rip off an ATM). [1], [2] personality. anyone who hears the word 'superboy' and expects conner to be some kinda boy scout-type kid, a-la adventures of superman when he was a boy, always comes out a little disappointed in the end. that's because conner is everything but: cocky, snarky, hard-headed, impulsive -- he's like your typical extrovert teenager who likes to have fun and be around friends. he might be serious at times, mature in the same way a growing teenager can be, but his most prominent trait is his big free spirit. he was labeled as 'peter pan' from superman once, and that's pretty much from whom his personality is based from.
